About Me

I’ve always enjoyed making things, and first picked up knitting over a decade ago. That was followed soon after by spinning.

I’ve been involved to varying degrees with the living history community for a little less than a decade, and got my start in the mid- to late-18th century. I’ve since branched out to the late 19th century. Who knows what’s next.

I first got involved in archaeology in 2011, soon found my way into a graduate program. I’ve worked in CRM (cultural resource management) since 2014.

    One of the things I’ve noticed about myself is that having external motivation (and sometimes, deadlines) is really important for getting things done. Just having a box to check at some point during the day makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something (even if it’s been one of those days where just getting out of bed, managing my hair, and putting calories and caffeine in myself is a challenge). On those days when I’m on the struggle bus, it’s even more important that the box to be checked is really just about progress.
